To bring colour and create a space that encourages a sense of community in the East London hub.
02. The Delivery | Creative
Whilst working as Creative Event Producer at Kit & Caboodle I worked alongside the Creative Director to deliver full turn-key project management for this installation which remained in place for 3 months during the summer of 2020. Collaborating with 3D visualisers to translate our mood-boards and concepts into feasible designs. As the lead producer I was responsible for sourcing and engaging with all third party suppliers from the structural engineer to the manufacturers and ensuring our clients vision was delivered throughout all stages of the project, from council approvals to the derig.
To keep manufacturing costs to a minimum we purchased and adapted an off the shelf pergola structure, in which we designed the addition of bench seating to make the most of the space and hide the necessary ballast. In order to create a more colourful structure we applied rainbow twin-wall to the roof to refract the summer sun onto visitors below. To bring the space together as the ultimate 'lunch spot' for the surrounding offices, we installed glorious green astro turf and up-cycled the clients existing assets of tables, benches, fences & platforms in the same contemporary colour pallet. As well as creating colourpoint signage and overall dressing of the site included faux flowers and the string corner installation. Overall creating a safe, colourful & social space.
